Mobility in the Community of Madrid
EMT and Inter-Bus arrive in real time to show all the routes available in the Community of Madrid. It has more than 150 stops on our transport cards, with a total of 400 lines on its route. You can travel by bus, inter-bus, light rail and metro on a TTP card from day one. You will be able to use the card without problems thanks to the technology that was developed for its implementation.
It is also possible to check the route and status of stations and the BiciMad card in real time.
Cercanías is the first community of the Madrid metropolitan area in which there is a contactless system of payment for travel. It will be used by all transport cards, the card Cercanías and the BiciMad card.
Metro of Madrid is the second community in Spain to have a contactless card. This card will be used by all modes of transport on its network (metro, light rail, inter-urban and bus) in the Madrid area.
BiciMad is a new transport card that allows us to travel in BiciMAD buses and inter-urban Cercanías (light rail) in the Community of Madrid.
About the technical part of it: It is a mobile application designed for Android devices that uses WIFI or 3G. It is integrated with the Community of Madrid card and it is a contactless system of payment, and it only requires your identification (ID) and TTP card number. You can buy it in the app store of your mobile, or at the bus terminal in your local community.
